COURSE DESCRIPTION
Communication of multiple LANs is an important factor in today's business. Many departments may have independently procured and installed different types of LANs throughout an enterprise. Connectivity of these different LANs to each other and to the outside world has become a necessary part of day-to-day business.
This course provides you with an understanding of internetworking LANs and the many considerations that must be reviewed for a successful implementation. Hands-on labs will reinforce comprehension and provide practical experience. Students are encouraged to bring their "real-world" networking issues for class discussion.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:
Learn design techniques to avoid Internetworking problems
Segment LANs into separate sub-networks with switches and routers
See how standardising can simplify Internetworking
Customize your application to support switches, Routers and the Wide Area Network
What role should a switch play in your network? Find whether it should be included in your network!
Learn to program a CISCO router and switch
Distance Vector and Link State Algorithm are basis for RIP, IGRP, E-IGRP and OSPF . Learn how they work and when they should be used

PRERQUISITES
Attendees should possess a basic familiarity with LAN concepts to obtain maximum benefit.
This seminar is no introduction to LANs but intended for people with a good basic knowledge of LAN concepts and terminology
